Time spent by the pool is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Whether you’re sneaking in a little solo relaxation, sharing the fun with family and friends, or entertaining guests poolside, it’s just a great place to be.
This year, make the most of your above ground pool. Start by keeping it clean. After all, who wants to swim in a dirty pool? By following a simple daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedule you’ll keep the water clean and safe for swimming.
Daily – you’ll want to run the filter 12-18 hours, empty the skimmer and pump baskets, and check the chlorine and pH levels.
Weekly – skim, vacuum and then brush the pool, clean the deck and add chlorine tablets if you use them.
Monthly – shock the pool, check for algae – especially behind the steps and ladders, and clean the water line and inside the skimmer walls.
Now that your pool is ready for company – invite some over! Have the grandkids over for a day of swimming and fun. If they’re staying with you, they’ll likely spend most of their time in the pool. Have plenty of pool floats and toys on hand to keep the good times going. Show them your favorite pool games from childhood (diving for pennies, anyone?), and play a game of pool basketball. (After all, HORSE and 1-on-1 work in the water, too.)
When the family is gone, invite your friends over and make your pool entertainment central. Serve cocktails on the deck and watch the sun go down. (If you don’t have adjustable outdoor lighting, be sure to decorate with string lights, lanterns, or other lights to set the mood.) Or, throw an adult pool party – you can even make themed. Luaus are popular, of course, but how about something different? Mix 70s and pool for something unique.
The point is, you installed your above ground pool so you could ENJOY it. So this year, that’s exactly what we want you to do.
Don’t have an above ground pool? We can help with that!
